Azalea's Travels

The Azalea is known as the Royalty of the Garden.

Nathan gave this pink azalea to Mother.
Azalea is a bonsai and needs daily watering so she is going to make the two thousand mile
round trip with us traveling from Texas to upstate New York

Azalea gets the royal treatment on our trip.
She gets to sit in the front seat so she can see out the window.

Azalea is ready for another day after a good night's rest in Arkansas.

Are we there yet?  I'm thirsty. Are we there yet?
No Azalea, we have another day of traveling.

Why don't you try to take a little nap, Azalea?

Azalea found a friend at a restaurant where we stopped for lunch.

Azalea is starting to get whiny after a long day of riding in the back seat so we let her pick the hotel the second night.

The third day, Azalea requests a break so we let her see the lake at the Chautauqua rest stop in New York. The roses are quite lovely, and the weather is perfect for traveling.

Finally we make it to Dortha's house and Azalea picks out a lovely spot to hold her court.
She really does think she is something special!

She loves the weather, and especially likes getting to know her distant relatives.

Azalea isn't afraid of Rusty at all, but wonders if she might see a bear!

Time passes too quickly and now it is time to go home.
Bye Rusty, thanks for guarding me.

Goodbye everyone! I had a wonderful time!

See you next year!
