Spring birds


These beautiful scissor-tailed flycatchers were in a park by El Dorado Lake. 

This baltimore oriole was quick and hard to photograph...

Not sure what this one is...
 These house finches were happy to have the feeder to themselves, but kept a watch out for predators....


Later I saw this one lurking near the feeder...
I think it might be a prairie merlin, a small falcon species...

And later, these fellows cleaned out the rest of the seeds.
 Meanwhile, the robins, mockingbirds, cardinals and doves have also returned in large numbers. 
A beautiful bluebird crashed into the bay window and sat dazed for a while looking at me. 


 I love bluebirds.

These prints were on my driveway. 
  I didn't see what made them, but I think it must be big. A heron, maybe?
